Spiranthes cernua (L.) Richard (1818)
This North American hybrid has shown up in several locations in the Netherlands where it is doing so well that it should be considered as an invasive species. At this location in the Brabantse Kempen the number of flowering plants increased from less than ten to more than two hundred in two years. The plants probably originated (as seeds) from orchid nurseries. Photo taken on 15 August, 2015.
